Like many planned activities of 2020, the performance of Monster in the Maze by Jonathan Dove (composer) and Alasdair Middleton (librettist) had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In place of the planned rehearsal process and performance, The Grange Festival facilitated the coming together of community and professional performers digitally.  The resulting short film, featuring the voice of Stephen Fry, is based on an extract from the finale of the piece.
